Optical detector for Roving Frames

The RFS-1 reflection-type optical detector has been developed for applications on roving frames for controlling every single spindle.

There are two reading elements on each RFS-1 detector so that one detector can control two rovings.

The RFS-1 detector makes it possible to detect the presence of the roving, from the complete range of commonly used colours and counts, and report break and roving frame stoppages.

Red LEDS – one for each reading element – light up to signal breaks.

Machine stoppages prevent lapping and the resulting failure of the drafting assembly.

RFS-1 detectors can be connected to the TBox/2 control unit, an integral part of the Archimede JSpin monitoring system.

The following can be monitored by the TBox/2 control unit:

Real machine output.

End breaks.

Stoppages (doffing, no material being fed) detected on the machine in automatic mode or based on the events set via the keyboard.
